it’s the weekend and that is time for sports… some more social than others

today I went out to support my work mates who were playing one of the other depots in our company (TNT Australia) in a game of touch football, our team from the overnight/international freight Mascot depot narrowly lost to the Road Freight team from Chullora

I have put up a slideshow from the game… allow a little time for some of the photos to load before you start the show

“Dragons Downunder” the 8th world dragon boat championships are on in Sydney at the moment with mens, womens and mixed teams from 16 countries competing

the opening ceremony was held this evening on the Parramatta river but all the racing will be held out at Penrith lakes Olympic rowing course over the next 4 days… I will try to get out there over the weekend to catch some of the action and post a photo or two here

back on the local birds that can be found in and around Sydney

these Sulphur-crested Cockatoos were part of a group of about 10 birds feeding on grass seeds in Parramatta, If you move slowly you can get reasonably close without scaring them away
